Ryobi BID1211: Discontinued — What to Buy Instead
A 12V impact driver from a battery platform Ryobi no longer sells. The 18V ONE+ range absorbed it.

The BID1211 was a 12V impact driver — a compact tool aimed at cabinet work and light assembly rather than framing.
It is discontinued, and unlike the 18V tools on this site, its battery platform went with it. Ryobi consolidated almost everything onto 18V ONE+, and the 12V packs this driver used are no longer part of the range.
Why 12V faded at Ryobi
Compact 12V tools still exist elsewhere — Milwaukee M12 and Makita CXT are both strong lines — because a smaller, lighter driver is genuinely better in a cabinet or under a sink.
Ryobi went the other way, betting on one battery for everything. That is defensible for a DIY-focused brand: most owners want one charger and one pack type, and the size penalty of 18V matters less when the tool comes out twice a month.
The practical consequence is that there is no 12V Ryobi to replace this with.
What to buy instead
If you are staying with Ryobi, the ONE+ HP 4-mode impact driver, linked below, is the current tool. It is bigger and heavier than the BID1211 and considerably more capable, and it runs on the 18V packs the rest of the range uses.
If the compact size was the point — tight cabinets, electrical work, anything overhead — a 12V platform from another brand is the better answer, and worth the separate charger.
