The M7 Pro is a 10.1-inch, 14K resin printer. On paper it is close to the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16K. What sets it apart is automation: a heated vat, and a refill system that pumps resin into the vat from the bottle as it prints.
Where automation helps
A tall print can use more resin than the vat holds. Without refill you either fill the vat to the brim or come back mid-print to top it up. The M7 Pro does it for you. With the heated vat, it is set up for long unattended jobs in a cold workshop.
Its XY resolution is 16.8 x 24.8 µm, a little coarser than the Saturn 16K. The build volume is 223 x 126 x 230 mm, a little larger.
Where it costs you
Cross-contamination. Resin runs through tubes and a pump that are never quite empty. Switch from grey to clear and the first prints can carry traces of grey. Cleaning the lines is more work than pouring a vat back into its bottle.
One port, two accessories. The auto-fill unit and Anycubic’s air filter share a connection, so you choose one or the other.
Handling and noise. The vat is heavy when full. The heater circulation fans make it louder than Anycubic’s older, quieter printers.
The general resin cautions apply too: gloves, ventilation and a wash-and-cure routine. See FDM vs resin.
Verdict
Buy it for long runs in one resin. If you change resin often, the Saturn 4 Ultra is simpler to live with.
What works
- Auto refill tops the vat up during long prints, so you are not babysitting a tall job
- The heated vat keeps resin at working temperature in a cold room
- The 223 x 126 x 230 mm build volume is slightly larger than the Saturn 4 Ultra's
- Maker claims it prints holes down to 0.3 mm diameter
What doesn't
- Resin stays in the refill tubing and pump, so a colour change risks cross-contamination and means extra cleaning
- The auto-fill unit and the air filter use the same port, so you cannot run both at once
- Its heavy vat is awkward to handle full of resin
- The heater fans make it louder than older Anycubic printers
